About the Film

Jake: "A natural born leader. Born with it you see!"
Tony: "What this film needs is sex."
Simon: "Mushrooms. None of your chemical shit. This is natures way."
Mr.X: "Being a hostage? Not as bad as you'd think. You kind of get used to it."
The Crew: "You stay here and live your squalid little lives. I'm going to Hollywood!"
The Mice!

The word from the set

Jake is a security guard. He has worked for Gilbert Pharmaceuticals for 14 years and until recently he thoroughly enjoyed his work. People knew their place. But 12 months ago a new head of security was appointed.

The principles that Jake lived and worked by were discarded in favour of the new way - "Co-operation not confrontation" and the new security motto; "We are here to serve!".

Increasingly disillusioned by the incompetence of those in authority, Jake relishes the fact that he has masterminded the perfect plan to take £2,000,000 from his employers.

Played by Steve Evets

After various jobs including fruit picking, bar work and a 3 year stint in the Merchant Navy, Steve decided it was time to concentrate on his first love, acting. After training he began a full and diverse career on stage and screen.

From playing DAD in Berkoff's East for 0161, Kinesias in the Contact Theatres Lysistrata, and more recently the central character Mick Dowd in the award winning Skull in Conemara to Tom Sheppard in Emmerdale, a raging bulldog in Channel 4's Dogfight and more recently starring alongside Caroline Quentin as Benny Nightingale in Granada's Blood Strangers.
