About the Film

Jake: "A natural born leader. Born with it you see!"
Tony: "What this film needs is sex."
Simon: "Mushrooms. None of your chemical shit. This is natures way."
Mr.X: "Being a hostage? Not as bad as you'd think. You kind of get used to it."
The Crew: "You stay here and live your squalid little lives. I'm going to Hollywood!"
The Mice!

The word from the set

Simon is on another planet. Several years ago, fate conspired with destiny to create the Happy Mondays and the Stone Roses at the same time as Simon was putting the Mad into Madchester.

Fashion coincided with Simon. But Simon was blissfully unaware of how trendy he was being, he was just being. Nothing's changed. Simon lives by his own rules. He has respect on his estate. He harms no one and no one harms him.

You'll like Simon, even if you think maybe it's time he didn't choose joy riding; didn't choose dope and didn't wear that hat

Played by Simon Cassidy

Salford born actor Simon Cassidy made his professional debut in Noel Coward's Cavalcade at Manchester's Palace theatre. Other stage credits include Joey in Jim Cartwright's Road and Reg in Willie Russell's Up'n'Under.

He has appeared as Leeds club owner Warren Palmer in YTV's Emmerdale and in two series the BBC's police drama City Central. His most recent TV role is as Dessie-local gangland assassin-in Granada TV's A&E
